Why does the preschool program at The Goddard School® look like it's so much fun? Because play is the foundation for all learning, and Goddard teachers are given the freedom to design lesson plans for the individual needs of the children in their classroom. Children gain self-confidence as they independently explore special centers for dramatic play, math, creative art, science, music, and computers.

Based on the Goddard Developmental Guidelines and taught in a low-pressure environment, children gain the skills that will guide them toward future academic success. Your preschooler will be introduced to the concepts of 'cause and effect' and 'more or less,' cognitive skills like sequencing and matching, social skills in similarities and diversity, and language art skills such as storytelling and process-writing.

Bright classrooms and large playgrounds create the backdrop to a learning environment where children are engaged in exciting activities that are related to a monthly theme. Children are exposed to special guests from local museums and libraries, police officers, fire fighters, veterinarians, and puppet shows. By encouraging children to learn through play, Goddard offers preschoolers an opportunity to establish a lifelong love of learning.
